Council on Interdisciplinary Biosciences
Mission of the Advisory Council
The Bio-X program and the Department of Bioengineering
are high priorities for John Hennessy. He and Isaac Stein,
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, invite Advisory Council
members to participate in setting strategic directions
for these initiatives by advising them and the faculty
leaders—Matthew P. Scott for Bio-X and Scott L.
Delp and Paul G. Yock for Bioengineering—as well
as the Dean of Research and the deans of the Schools of
Engineering, Medicine, Humanities and Sciences, and Earth
Sciences.
Stanford seeks the valuable external perspectives of
individuals involved with biotechnology, pharmaceutical,
and related companies as executives, venture investors,
and research scientists.  |
