Chris
Contag is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics
and Microbiology & Immunology (and of Radiology, by courtesy).
The mission of Dr. Contag's laboratory is to understand
both the mechanisms of disease, and the complex
genetic programs of mammalian development. His
lab monitor these processes noninvasively as they
occur in living animals.
The method developed by his group can simultaneously
reveal the nuances, and the overall picture of
infection or gene expression in a living animal.
This powerful approach has attracted international
attention as it has been reviewed by national
science magazines, and cable network programs
on scientific discovery. |
