Professor Salisbury
David's research is in the area of biomedical device innovation
and development. Presently, David is investigating next
generation technologies for robotically enhanced surgical
instrumentation. These instruments will operate on a reduced
scale with improved maneuverability and dexterity, while
relying on sensory data and novel control algorithms to
provide haptic feedback to the surgeon along with semi-autonomous
behaviors. |
