and Mechanical Engineering (by courtesy) was awarded the 2005 Innovator Award

Faculty Affiliates to participate in new Center
for Protein Folding Machinery
Bio-X faculty affiliate, Judith
Frydman,
will serve as co-director of the new Center
for Protein Folding Machinery along with Wah Chiu, from Baylor College of
Medicine in Houston. This new Center is one of four multi-institution research
centers created by NIH to find new ways of curing disease on a molecular scale.
Four other Stanford researchers and Bio-X
faculty affiliates, with expertise in nanoscale research also will participate: Michael
Levitt, Vijay Pande, W.E.
Moerner and Scott Delp.
