Bio-X Affiliated FacultyThe overarching goal of Dr. Keller’s Laboratory (kellerlab.stanford.edu) is to improve brain stimulation treatment for neurological and psychiatric disease. Specifically, his lab seeks to improve Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other brain stimulation techniques by better understanding the fundamental principles of human brain plasticity and building trans-diagnostic real-time monitoring platforms for personalized brain stimulation.

Kushida is a neurologist who specializes in the diagnosis and management of sleep related breathing disorders (e.g., obstructive sleep apnea), sleep-related movement disorders (e.g., restless legs syndrome), and parasomnias (e.g., sleepwalking, REM sleep behavior disorder). He is a neurologist, a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford; Associate Chair, Division Chief, and Medical Director of Stanford Sleep Medicine; and Director of the Stanford Center for Human Sleep Research.

Bio-X Affiliated FacultyThe primary goal of the Padula BRAVE lab's research is to define emotion and reward circuits in men and women Veterans with AUD using well-established paradigms as subjects undergo functional magnetic resonance imaging, and determine the utility of emotion and reward circuits in predicting abstinence versus relapse, along with risk of relapse. -
