The overall goal of Dr. Sakamoto's laboratory is to understand the molecular regulation of hematopoiesis and how aberrancies result in diseases of hematopoiesis, including leukemia, bone marrow failure, and myeloproliferative disease.

Dr. Kathleen Horst's primary interests are in breast radiation oncology, especially partial breast irradiation. She is the lead breast radiation oncologist at Stanford Cancer Center. She has ongoing interests in the radiobiology of breast cancer.
