In addition, Stanford technologies may be licensed through the Office of Technology Licensing, and opportunities exist for formal collaboration and sponsored research through the Industrial Contracts Office by Bio-X's facilitation.

 


 

Connect with Bio-X Internal Programs

Through the forum, member companies will have facilitated access to the various internal programs that Bio-X has that supports research and innovation, such as the Bio-X Interdisciplinary Initiatives Program and Bio-X Graduate Fellowships.

 

Customized Technical Summits

Bio-X will host meetings for scientific exchange that are customized specifically for each member company. These events are opportunities for the member company to learn about novel ideas, and foster communication and collaborations between the member company and Stanford innovators.

 

Faculty Liaison

At the company’s request, one faculty member can be designated as a primary contact from Bio-X. This person interacts with the company and hosts company representatives at Stanford.

 

Visiting Scholar

Companies that develop a close relationship with a faculty research group are encouraged to participate in the Bio-X Visiting Scholar Program and work in a Stanford research lab for a set period of time.

 

Symposiums, Seminars & Workshops

Bio-X hosts several major symposiums on an annual basis, including an annual symposium with distinguished invited speakers from both inside and outside Stanford, 2 IIP Seed Grant symposiums that highlight awarded IIP Seed Grant projects, and a Fellows' Symposium for our graduate fellows.  These symposiums include scientific presentations from Stanford faculty, posters from students and post-docs, and/or panels with industry and academic scientists. The event includes networking time specifically for member companies to interact with faculty, post-doctoral fellows and students.  In addition, member companies are welcome to attend any special seminars and workshops that Bio-X holds with specific topics of interest in research and education.

 

Newsletter

Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD)

Member companies have access to free courses and opportunities for additional courses and training for employees at the SCPD, which brings award-winning degree and non-degree academic courses from the Schools of Engineering and Medicine to professionals in industry.

 

Liaison to Stanford's Office of Technology Licensing

Member companies have a dedicated liaison to the Stanford Office of Technology Licensing (OTL), and Bio-X will help facilitate the development of the contracts where necessary.
