Dr. George Poultsides is Section Chief of Surgical Oncology and Professor of Surgery at Stanford University. He is a high-volume oncologic surgeon specializing in the management of complex cancers of the pancreas, liver, stomach and retroperitoneum. He joined Stanford in 2009 after completing fellowship training in Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering and in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery at Johns Hopkins. From a scholarly perspective, he has published extensively on the multidisciplinary management of HPB and upper GI malignancies.

Dr. Geoffrey Abrams is an Associate Professor within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. He specializes in Sports Medicine/arthroscopy of the shoulder, knee, and elbow, upper extremity joint replacement, as well as tendon and ligament reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, and elbow.

Dr. Gen Shinozaki's research interests include investigation epigenetics mechanism of delirium pathophysiology, neuroinflammation and aging using human and mouse samples. Dr. Shinozaki's group aims to develop epigenetic biomarkers for delirium to predict, detect and monitor illness course, treatment response and patient outcomes. They are also working on a small point-of-care EEG device to detect delirium and predict patient outcome.
