To elucidate the function of CD72, a B lymphocyte surface protein expressed from early stages of B cell development through to the mature B cell stage, Dr. Parnes's group has used gene targeting to generate homozygous mutant mice that totally lack CD72 expression.

Research in the Cyert lab has three major goals: elaborate calcineurin signaling networks; elucidate calcineurin function; and define how calcineurin recognizes and dephosphorylates substrates.

Dr. Marshall Burke is an assistant professor in the Department of Earth System Science, deputy director at the Center on Food Security and the Environment, and center fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI) at Stanford University. He is also a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a co-founder of AtlasAI, a remote sensing start-up.
