Images obtained from seismic data are the primary source of information on the structural and stratigraphic complexities in Earth's subsurface and on many subsurface dynamic processes. These images are constructed by processing seismic wavefields recorded at the Earth's surface and generated by either active-source (e.g., vibroseis trucks) experiments or by natural (e.g., ocean waves) and anthropogenic (e.g., vehicle traffic) sources.

Dr. Chiu's laboratory aims to understand the mechanisms of pediatric solid tumors, precisely target the specific causes, and devise unique medical or surgical treatments for every child.

Dr. Beadle's research goals are to improve the outcomes of patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer through the integration of novel agents with radiation therapy, understanding key molecular drivers of the disease, and optimizing the use of advanced computational and physics-based approaches to improve treatment planning.

Dr. Widrow's research focuses on adaptive signal processing, adaptive control systems, adaptive neural networks, human memory, and human-like memory for computers.
