Dr. He's research is concentrated in the area of statistical genetics and integrative analysis of omics data, attempting to develop new statistical methodologies that aid with the identification and interpretation of complex biological pathways involved in human diseases, particularly neurological disorders.

Dr. Bryant's laboratory seeks to understand the physical mechanisms by which these nanoscale machines convert chemical energy into mechanical work.

The research Dr. Yvonne Maldonado has conducted has been focused on epidemiologic aspects of viral vaccine development and prevention of perinatal HIV transmission. A major project has been to identify the molecular epidemiology of factors affecting the immunogenicity of oral polio vaccine (OPV) among children living in developing areas of the world, where OPV immunogenicity is poor. Dr. Maldonando's group has identified several factors which affect the poor immunogenicity of OPV and will conduct clinical studies to attempt to improve immunogenicity.

Dr. Yang's research interests are in the areas of biomaterials, implant devices, drug delivery, and musculoskeletal tissue engineering.
