Reliable inference of dynamical brain networks from multi-subject fMRI data
The human brain is a complex system of interconnected regions whose interplay gives rise to and constrains cognitive function. It is becoming increasingly apparent that understanding human cognition, as well as aberrant brain function, depends on understanding this network of interaction. The purpose of my project is to use machine-learning techniques to find and characterize networks of interactions using fMRI data, with a special emphasis on understanding how neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease disturb brain function.
