Bio-X Affiliated FacultyAmir Safavi-Naeini is an Associate Professor of Applied Physics at Stanford University. He received his B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Canada in 2008, and his Ph.D. in Applied Physics at the California Institute of Technology in 2013 (Painter lab). He came to Stanford in September 2014 after a post-doc at ETH Zurich in the group of Andreas Wallraff.

Amanda Kirane - Assistant Professor of Surgery (General Surgery)
Bio-X Affiliated FacultyDr. Amanda Kirane is a fellowship-trained, board-certified specialist in complex general surgical oncology. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Section of Surgical Oncology, at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Her clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and other skin cancers. She partners closely with patients and families to provide the most effective treatment approach possible. For each patient, she tailors an evidence-based, personalized care plan that is innovative, comprehensive, and compassionate.

Allison W. Kurian - Professor of Medicine (Oncology) and of Epidemiology & Population Health
Bio-X Affiliated FacultyDr. Allison W. Kurian, M.D., M.Sc. is a Professor of Medicine and of Epidemiology and Population Health at Stanford University School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, trained as an intern and resident in Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and completed her fellowship training in Medical Oncology along with a master’s degree in Epidemiology at Stanford University.
