Julia Kaltschmidt - Associate Professor of Neurosurgery
Bio-X Affiliated FacultyThe Kaltschmidt lab’s goal is to understand the molecular basis of neuronal circuit formation. They are particularly interested in circuits that underlie locomotion, sexual function and gut motility. -
Julia Fridman Simard - Associate Professor of Epidemiology & Population Health, of Medicine (Immunology & Rheumatology) and (by courtesy) of Obstetrics & Gynecology (Maternal Fetal Medicine)
Bio-X Affiliated FacultyDr. Simard's current research looks at reproductive outcomes in systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases, including SLE, as well as malignancy, stroke, infection, and mortality. -
Judith Shizuru - Professor of Medicine (Blood & Marrow Transplantation)
Bio-X Affiliated FacultyDr. Shizuru's research interests are to understand the cellular and molecular basis of resistance to engraftment of transplanted allogeneic bone marrow (BM) cells and to understand the way in which BM grafts modify immune responses. -
Judith Frydman - Donald Kennedy Chair in the School of Humanities & Sciences and Professor of Genetics
Clark Center Faculty, Seed Grant Committee Member, Bio-X Affiliated FacultyThe long term goal of the Frydman lab's research is to understand how proteins fold in living cells. -
Juan Santiago - Professor of Mechanical Engineering
Bio-X Affiliated FacultyDr. Santiago's research focuses on the study of microscale transport phenomena including electrokinetic flow, electrohydrodynamic instabilities, and general convective-diffusion-electromigration processes. -
Joyce Teng - Professor of Dermatology
Bio-X Affiliated FacultyDr. Joyce Teng, MD, PhD is a professor of dermatology at Stanford University. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH) at Stanford and Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC). Dr. Teng received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 12 years. She is one of the 5 pediatric dermatologists practicing at LPCH and one of 72 at SHC who specialize in Dermatology.
