Mentor: Casey Gifford (Pediatrics – Cardiology) -
Ximena Corso Díaz - Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology
Bio-X Affiliated FacultyDr. Ximena Corso Díaz's lab is dedicated to uncovering mechanisms of gene regulation in neuronal cells with the goal of developing treatments for neurodegeneration. By studying the retina, a brain region responsible for light detection, they aim to identify molecular mechanisms that regulate neuronal gene expression programs and develop strategies to prevent blindness.
