Five 8.5-foot bottle-shaped sculptures filled with unrecycled plastic stand in Nexus Café at the Clark Center. All of the plastic bottles filling the shaped wire was collected from a single beach within a single year by Stanford's Richard James.
In honor of Earth Day, the installment will be displayed at the Clark Center for a week, in the hopes of raising awareness of plastic usage and waste.
Richard has chronicled his efforts to clean beaches and raise awareness on his blog at coastodian.org.
