Shannon received her B.S. in Chemistry from National Taiwan University. She then pursued her Ph.D. in Chemistry at UC Berkeley with Prof. Ignacio Tinoco, Jr. and studied ribosome translation dynamics (Cell 2015) using mass spectrometry and force spectroscopy with optical tweezers. Dr. Sharon Chinthrajah is a physician-scientist trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Allergy & Immunology whose research focuses on precision immunotherapies for food allergy and other immune-mediated diseases. Her work integrates clinical trials, mechanistic immunology, systems biology, and biomarker discovery to develop targeted, disease-modifying treatments.
