Dr. Cooke's basic research is focused on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), as well as direct reprogramming, for vascular regeneration.

Dr. Sunwoo's laboratory is focused on two primary areas of research: the immune response to head and neck cancer and to a tumorigenic population of cells within these malignancies called cancer stem cells; and the developmental programs of a special lymphocyte population involved in innate immunity called natural killer (NK) cells.

Dr. Joel Neal holds a medical degree and a doctoral degree in Tumor Cell Biology from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in oncology, rotating through the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Oncology at the Stanford Cancer Institute at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

The biological question that is driving the Wysocka lab's research in the long-term is understanding the epigenetic basis of vertebrate development and differentiation.
