The 4th request for proposals for the Visiting Scholar Fellowships at Stanford Bio-X funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) is open, and Stanford Bio-X and NNF are looking forward to reviewing interdisciplinary bioscience project proposals.  The proposals will be carried out by visiting scholars for 3 years at Stanford under the mentorship of at least 2 Stanford Bio-X affiliated faculty before returning to his/her hosting Danish institution for the last and 4th year.

Through a relationship that started back in 2010 which led to a 2012 Novo Nordisk-sponsored research projectaffiliate membership partnering with the University of Aarhus, and numerous in-depth conversations with NNF's top executives, Stanford Bio-X has partnered with NNF since 2014 in establishing this joint visiting scholar fellowship program.  The fellowship supports visiting scholars with a significant association to Denmark's academic or research environment to conduct postdoctoral-level research at Stanford. The program is designed to strengthen the exchange of scientific expertise between Stanford and Denmark while also enhancing the scholars' research experience and training at the highest international level.

Currently, there are 6 selected scholars hosted in the following Stanford departments: Radiation Oncology, Molecular and Cellular Physiology, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Chemical & Systems Biology, Biomedical Data Science, and Biology.

Up to 2 new fellowships will be awarded in 2018 with applications due on February 6, 2018 @ 2 pm CET.  To learn about eligibility and the application process, click below!
