Dr. Ferrell's laboratory studies the mitosis and meiosis cycle. Their goal is to understand the design principles of this system, and perhaps to gain insight into the systems that drive other biological oscillations (e.g. heart beats, calcium oscillations, circadian rhythms).

Dr. Fernald's research is focused on understanding the mechanisms through which social change is transduced into cellular and molecular change.

Dr. Feldman's research group uses applied mathematics and computer modelling to simulate and analyze the process of evolution, which by its very nature is statistical.

Dr. Feinstein's research interests include computer simulation and modeling of cardiovascular physiology with specific attention paid to congenital heart disease and its treatment; and the evaluation and treatment of pulmonary hypertension/pulmonary vascular disease and structural abnormalities of the pulmonary arteries as seen, for example, in Alagille Syndrome.

Dr. Fedkiw's research is focused on the design of new computational algorithms for a variety of applications including computational fluid dynamics, computer graphics, and biomechanics.

The Fayer group is pursuing research on the ultrafast dynamics, interactions, and structure of a range of complex molecular systems.
