Headshot portrait of David McKay - Professor of Structural Biology, Emeritus
Bio-X Affiliated Faculty

Dr. McKay's lab is engaged in crystallographic structure determination and biophysical studies of proteins and RNA. Some areas of interest include molecular chaperones (proteins which are required in cells to facilitate protein and RNA folding and/or unfolding; many of these proteins are involved in cellular "stress responses"), microbial virulence factors, and catalytic RNAs.
