Jason Li is studying autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a neurodevelopmental disorder associated with disruptive variations in gene regulation. Specifically, he will be examining the role of mutant CHD8, a gene associated with chromatin remodeling and a crucial ASD risk factor, in ASD by using induced neuron stem cells as a model.
