Dr. Elizabeth Mormino's research program focuses on combining imaging and genetics to predict cognitive trajectories over time, and the integration of novel PET scans to better understand human aging and neurodegenerative diseases.

The Mormino Lab is interested in multimodal approaches to understand aging and neurodegenerative disease in humans. Their research aims to measure the earliest brain changes that occur before clinical symptoms are present, with the overall goal of leveraging this data to understand cognitive aging, contribute to early detection, and improve the ability to predict the onset of future clinical impairment.
