Dr. Brooke Howitt is a gynecologic pathologist and studies the molecular characteristics of gynecologic carcinomas and sarcomas and their precursor lesions.  Dr. Howitt is interested in  elucidating cell of origin for gynecologic tumors, and mechanisms for detection of precursor lesions and early cancers, with the goal of preventive measures and targeted therapeutics.  She hopes to bring her skills and experience in pathology and histologic examination of tissue together with those who have bioinformatics expertise to accomplish these goals.
