"Social Network Strength as a Predictor of Traumatic Brain Injury Patient Recovery"

Chris’ project aims to explore the correlation between patient social networks and recovery rates following a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Using the PERSNET instrument, a survey designed for mapping the personal social networks of patients, Chris will analyze a retrospective dataset of 140 patients to quantify how network strength predicts recovery trajectory. By investigating their correlation, the study aims to lay the groundwork for a prospective clinical trial aimed at improving recovery. This is crucial as it is a step towards personalizing and improving TBI care by understanding and applying the use of social support systems.
