The mission of the Zarins lab is to investigate vascular biology and pathology to discover new concepts for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The research areas of interest include pathogenesis of aneurysms and carotid stenosis, atherosclerosis, vascular biomechanics, hemodynamics, minimal invasive therapies, stent grafting, and cardiovascular tissue engineering from human embryonic stem cells.
