As director of the PACT program for pediatric heart failure and transplantation at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and Stanford University, Dr. Rosenthal is primarily interested in improving clinical care for children with heart failure and heart transplantation. This includes the testing of new medications for heart failure, such as the investigation of carvedilol for symptomatic heart failure in children; as well as the development of new techniques for cardiac resynchronization in patients with right ventricular failure. More recently, they have been actively involved in application of mechanical circulatory support to children.
