Greeshma is a rising sophomore. She intends to major in human biology with a minor in creative writing. This summer, she hopes to learn more about the mechanism of EWS/FLI-1 mediated oncogenesis in Ewing's Sarcoma. Specifically, Greeshma is working to determine the functional role of the metabolic gene Upp1 in this mechanism and how it might contribute to improved treatment for children with this rare pediatric cancer. Academically, she is interested in cancer biology, clinical research, and narratives in medicine.
