Dr. Karakikes's current research focus is the generation of isogenic induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) using genome-editing technologies to unravel the pathogenesis of familial cardiomyopathies. The overarching goal of his research is to better understand the genotype-phenotype correlations and ultimately the develop personalized therapeutic interventions.
