Jonathan Lu is a rising senior from San Mateo, California. He is majoring in neurobiology. In Dr. Yanmin Yang’s lab, Jonathan is researching the effect of mutant proteins in Huntington’s disease on neuronal cell transport. He is interested in interdisciplinary approaches to imaging transport for live cells. The group’s work with new microfluidic chambers is an exciting opportunity to study BDNF transport and can become a valuable future platform to test pharmaceutical drugs.
