“Investigating B Cell Gene Expression in the Pathogenesis of Osteoarthritis"

This project aims to investigate the gene expression profile of B cells in osteoarthritis (OA) patients using qPCR and flow cytometry. Peripheral blood and synovial fluid samples will be collected from OA patients and healthy controls. B cells will be isolated using magnetic cell sorting and analyzed for surface markers via flow cytometry. Key genes identified in OA associated B cells identified using single-cell RNA analysis will be quantified using qPCR. By comparing gene expression patterns between OA patients and controls, Kiian’s research seeks to explain the role of B cells in OA progression and identify potential therapeutic targets.
