“Using Lipoprotein Based Nanoparticles to Solubilize Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic Biomolecules”

Marc has been working in the Sharaf Lab for nearly two years, exploring how bacterial lipoproteins can associate with and carry both hydrophobic (water-repelling) and hydrophilic (water-loving) molecules. Moving forward, he plans on characterizing these interactions by employing various biophysical tools. Additionally, he will use programming to conduct data analysis and draw important connections. This research is important because it could lead to more effective methods of drug delivery that treat diseases more precisely and with fewer side of effects.
