Dr. Dash's research focuses on imaging cell signaling in the heart. He is developing molecular imaging probes that track to injured heart tissue, such that non-invasive imaging techniques, like cardiac MRI, can visualize these probe signals in real-time. The translational goal of his research is to develop new ways to detect early cardiac injury before permanent damage occurs, so that preventive medical therapy can be started.
