The Sinclair group utilizes high resolution transmission electron microscopy to characterize the structure of important engineering materials at the nanoscale. Current research includes analysis of microelectronic and magnetic thin films for a wide range of uses from solar cells to magnetic hard drives. In addition, we utilize electron microscopsy to study the conjugation of nanoparticles to biological materials for cancer research.
