2011 Undergraduate Summer Research Program Participant

Home Department: undeclared
Supported by: Bio-X
Mentor: Joseph Wu, Professor of Medicine (Cardiovascular) and of Radiology

Sujin Park will be a sophomore in the coming school year and is planning on majoring in biology or bioengineering. Although her primary interest is in neuroscience, Sujin currently works in a cardiovascular stem cell lab to explore her other growing interest in stem cells. She hopes that since current cardiovascular stem cell research is further along than that of neural stem cells, she will be able to gain a comprehensive background in stem cells, which she can later apply to neuroscience research.

Poster presented at the Stanford Bio-X Interdisciplinary Initiatives Symposium on August 17, 2011:

Molecular Imaging of Autologous Canine Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Transplantation
