Dr. Michie's laboratory studies the molecular mechanisms that control the migration of lymphocytes into sites of autoimmune-mediated tissue damage, such as pancreatic islets in type 1 diabetes and salivary glands in Sjogrens syndrome.

Tarik Massoud - Professor of Radiology (Diagnostic Radiology)

Dr. Massoud's current interests are in molecular and translational imaging of the brain especially in neuro-oncology and cerebrovascular diseases, experimental aspects of neuroimaging, clinical neuroradiology, neuroradiological anatomy, and research education and academic training of radiologists.

Michael Marmor - Professor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Marmor's group has studied the modification of retinal ischemic damage, laser action upon the RPE and drug effects upon retina and RPE. Recent collaborative work has been considering means of replacing Bruch's membrane or RPE in diseased eyes, and the development of a retinal prosthesis.
