Dr. Tuljapurkar's research areas include stochastic dynamics of human and natural populations; life history evolution, especially senescence; prehistoric societies; and probability forecasts including sex ratios, mortality, aging and fiscal balance.

Dr. Tsiao's lab is studying how the location and identity of presynaptic calcium channels is regulated.

Dr. Poon is researching the wireless delivery of power and data to medical implants, the limits of utilizing polarization in communication systems, and applying mathematical concepts to RF/analog circuit architectures.

Dr. Philip Tsao's primary research interests are in understanding the molecular underpinnings of vascular disease as well as assessing disease risk. His group uses a wide range of biochemical, molecular and physiological techniques to make primary observations in cell systems as well as preclinical models. Dr. Pollack's laboratory uses genomic approaches to investigate the pathogenesis and biology of human cancer, and to identify strategies for improved cancer diagnosis, prognostication and patient management.

Dr. Tessier-Lavigne’s laboratory investigates how neural circuits in the brain form during embryonic development.

Dr. Pitteri's laboratory is focused on the discovery and validation of proteins that can be used as molecular indicators of risk, diagnosis, progression, and recurrence of cancer.

Professor Sindy KY Tang is the Kenneth and Barbara Oshman Faculty Scholar and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and by courtesy of Bioengineering and Radiology (Precision Health and Integrated Diagnostics) at Stanford University. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in Engineering Sciences under the supervision of Prof. George Whitesides. The micro-nano-bio lab under the direction of Prof.
