Dr. Brown and his research group focus on chemical and microbiological interactions at environmental interfaces, which are defined as interfaces between solids and aqueous solutions, solids and gases, aqueous solutions and gases, solids and microbial organisms (including microbial biofilms), and solids and natural organic matter.

Dr. James Brooks's group's interest is in developing diagnostic and prognostic markers for urological diseases. Their work spans discovery, measurement methodologies, and clinical validation of candidate biomarkers. They have primarily used genomic and proteomic approaches for biomarker discovery. While their primary focus has been in prostate cancer, we have also worked in kidney cancer and other malignancies.

Dr. Bronte-Stewart's laboratory research focus is human motor control and brain pathophysiology in movement disorders.

Dr. Boyd's laboratory's goal is to understand the lymphocyte genotype-phenotype relationships in healthy human immunity and in immunological diseases.

Dr. Brongersma's current research is directed towards the development and physical analysis of nanostructured materials that find application in nanoscale electronic and photonic devices.

Currently, Dr. Shin is evaluating the clinical utility of Sleep MRI; additional applications of sleep MRI can include further understanding the dynamics of airway collapse, development of minimally invasive OSA treatments, and evaluation/trouble shooting of existing OSA therapeutics.

Dr. Sherlock's laboratory is a yeast genomics lab that uses both experimental and computational approaches to characterize the yeast genome and uses yeast as a model system to study evolution.
