Dr. Curtin's research interests include maintaining and optimizing upper limb function in people with spinal cord injury, improving pain and general well being after severe hand injuries, and neuroma care in the surgical patient.

The goals of Dr. Esquivel's research projects are to understand the molecular mechanisms of rejection and by manipulating those mechanisms, Dr. Esquivel's group is pursuing full acceptance of the transplanted organs, known as tolerance.

Dr. Pinsky's research interests include the development and application of molecular assays for the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases.

Dr. Jurafsky studies computational linguistics and its application to the behavioral and social sciences.

Dr. Fowler's research interests include the adrenergic nervous system; beta-adrenergic function in heart failure; and drugs in heart failure.

Dr. McElhinney's interests are in outcomes research, transcatheter device therapy for congenital heart disease, and collaborative translational investigation related to the pathophysiology, evaluation, and management of pediatric and adult congenital heart disease.

Dr. Olcott's research interests include body imaging utilizing CT, ultrasound and MRI; as well as imaging of appendicitis, imaging of perineural invasion by pancreatic and biliary malignancies, imaging of trauma, and magnetic resonance angiography.

Dr. Francis's research interests center on the molecular, biogeochemical, and ecological aspects of the microbially-mediated cycling of nitrogen and metals in the environment.

Dr. Feng's group is interested in the structure, dynamics and function of eukaryotic transport proteins mediating ions and major nutrients crossing the membrane, the kinetics and regulation of transport processes, the catalytic mechanism of membrane embedded enzymes and the development of small molecule modulators based on the structure and function of membrane proteins.
